Who we are
Fostering skill and community
OCHS is an inclusive club that welcomes anyone with an interest in historical fighting techniques. Our lessons are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for students of all levels, from beginners to experienced martial artists. We believe that studying these arts is not only a way to connect with history, but also an opportunity to build a vibrant, supportive community.
From Historical Sources
We base all of our teachings on historical treatises dating to the late-medieval and early-modern periods, providing a curriculum rooted in authentic sword fighting techniques. We delve into the teachings of Johannes Liechtenauer, Sigmund ain Ringeck, Joachim Meyer, and many more.
Safety is our Priority
We take great care to ensure that our lessons and training sessions are conducted in a safe and controlled manner. Our experienced instructors have years of sword fighting experience and are dedicated to providing a fun and safe learning experience for all our students.
